Teflon tape makes joints leaktight regardless of pipe material or fluid. A quick wind around the male pipe thread and you have a trouble free joint. Self lubricating teflon tape makes assembly and disassembly easy, eliminates the need for over tightening. It also prevents galling, seizing and cross threading.
How to Use:
Place end of tape on pipe thread, 1/8 in. from the end of pipe
Wrap tape around pipe, stretching it enough to pull it into the threads
Slightly overlap the starting turn
Press tightly on tape and pull hard to break it
