The AquaRite Electronic Chlorine Generator automatically converts salt (sodium chloride) into chlorine every day while you are filtering your fountain or pool. The constant level of chlorine keeps the water crystal clear and eliminates all the traditional hassles of dealing with chlorine. After the chlorine oxidizes the bacteria and algae in the pool, it is converted back to salt. This recycling means that salt only needs to be added to the fountain 2 or 3 times per year.
How this works is that the AquaRite breaks the salt down into chlorine and sodium. After the chlorine kills the algae and bacteria the chlorine and sodium reunite iinto salt. We have used these on bigger fountains with great results.
